Introducing the Desert Highlands Foundation Scholarship Program

Investing in Education. Empowering Futures

 

The Desert Highlands Foundation (“DH Foundation”) is proud to launch an exciting scholarship opportunity designed to support the educational goals of our Desert Highlands community. This program reflects our belief that education, at every stage and in every form, opens doors, builds confidence, and creates lifelong opportunity.

 

Scholarships are available to Desert Highlands employees, as well as their spouses and dependent children, who are pursuing higher education, vocational training, or approved certification programs. Whether the goal is a college degree, trade certification, or professional designation such as PGA credentials, the DH Foundation is here to help turn ambition into achievement.

 

Who Is Eligible

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Be a current full- or part-time Desert Highlands employee in good standing with at least 60 days of employment, or the spouse or dependent child of such an employee

    • Dependent children include biological, step, or legally adopted children who live in the employee’s household or are primarily supported by the employee

  • Enroll in or attend:

    • Community college

    • Career or technical institution

    • Undergraduate or post-graduate college

    • Certified or approved educational programs (including trade schools and professional certifications)

  • Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5, where applicable

  • Be a legal U.S. resident

  • Open to all genders, races, and ethnicities

  • Financial need is not required

 

Other Application Components

  • A brief essay describing educational goals, personal successes, and lessons learned

  • Letters of recommendation (optional)

 

Scholarship Awards

The DH Foundation will award:

  • Up to $7,500 annually for students enrolled in four-year college programs

  • Up to $4,000 annually for vocational, community college, or certified programs

All scholarship funds are paid directly to the educational institution and credited to the student’s account.

 

Application Timeline

The DH Foundation has partnered with the Arizona Community Foundation (ACF) to administer the application process.

  • Application period: January 1, 2026 – March 15, 2026

  • Award announcements: Prior to the end of April 2026
